Servicing schedule that suits a Honda

Honda says 12 months or 12,500 miles, and Hondas forgive a lot, which is precisely the trap: because nothing feels wrong, services get skipped, and the VTC actuator rattle or CVT shudder that follows costs far more than the missed service saved. The 1.5 turbo engines have one specific need in town: short cold trips dilute the oil with fuel, so they want oil changes more often than the book says, every 6,000 miles or so for city-only cars.

Jazz and Civic CVTs are smooth for decades if their fluid is changed on time and brutal if it never is.
